Physical Activity Guidelines

30 minutes of physical activity for disease prevention/management

60 minutes of physical activity for weight management/maintenance

90 minutes of physical activity for weight loss

Move More recommends 30 minutes of moderate physical activity on most days of the week.

Where did this recommendation come from?

Surgeon General’s Office,  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), American Heart Association, American College of Sports Medicine as many more

Why 30 minutes on most days of the week?

If done regularly this will help reduce your risk of diseases like heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure

Do I need to do anything else?

Weight loss is about energy balance, so physical activity must go along with a healthy diet
